Our WEISS performance upgrade for the Ferrari Purosangue is now available.
The Purosangue's 6.5-liter V12 is already one of the most exceptional naturally aspirated engines of our time. 725 hp, 716 Nm of torque, and a redline of 8,250 rpm form an extreme starting point.
That's precisely why it was clear to us: with this engine, it's not about advertising unrealistic figures. It's about utilizing the existing hardware even better through precise tuning.
The result is our WEISS STAGE 1 with a target range of approximately 750–760 hp, depending on the vehicle, fuel quality, and initial power output.
UP TO APPROX. 760 HP FROM THE V12 NATURALLY ASPIRATED ENGINE
Unlike a turbo engine, we cannot simply increase the boost pressure in the Purosangue.
The Ferrari features a high-compression 6.5-liter V12 naturally aspirated engine. The additional performance is therefore achieved through precise optimization of the engine control unit and the perfect interaction of the existing hardware.
Our target range:
Stock: 725 hp / 716 Nm
WEISS STAGE 1: approx. 750–760 hp / approx. 735–745 Nm
This corresponds to an increase of approximately 25 to 35 hp, depending on the vehicle.
And precisely with a high-revving V12 naturally aspirated engine, this difference is significantly more interesting than the sheer number initially suggests.
WHAT IS OPTIMIZED IN WEISS STAGE 1?
For our performance upgrade, various areas of the engine control unit are re-tuned.
Among other things, we optimize:
- Ignition maps
- Fuel maps
- Air and load model
- Torque requests
- Accelerator pedal characteristic
- Variable valve timing
- Lambda strategies under high load
- Torque limitations
- Response behavior
- Relevant protection and temperature maps
The engine's protective functions are not simply deactivated in the process.
Our aim is a clean and technically sound calibration that matches the character of the Ferrari V12.
WHY THE PUROSANGUE HAS POTENTIAL DESPITE BEING A NATURALLY ASPIRATED ENGINE
Ferrari has already put enormous technical effort into the F140IA V12.
The engine operates with a compression ratio of 13.6:1, high-pressure direct injection with up to 350 bar, and complex electronic monitoring of combustion. The engine control unit can, among other things, take fuel quality into account and adjust the ignition accordingly.
Precisely this modern control allows us to adapt the tuning very precisely to high-quality fuel and the respective engine.
Especially with high-quality 98 or 100 octane fuel, the existing potential can be optimally utilized.
MORE THAN JUST THE MAXIMUM HP FIGURE
Good software optimization is not only recognized by the peak value on the power diagram.
For us, what matters is how the Purosangue drives afterward.
Throttle response becomes more direct, the engine reacts more spontaneously to load changes, and power delivery is optimized across the rev range.
Especially above mid-range revs, the V12 should feel even freer and more determined.
The goal is not to change the character of the Ferrari.
The goal is to intensify it.
A V12 THAT REACTS EVEN MORE DIRECTLY
The Purosangue thrives on its engine.
No downsizing, no turbo lag – but a large-displacement V12 that keeps revving and builds its power linearly.
It is precisely this feeling that we want to enhance with our Stage 1.
More directness on the accelerator pedal, optimized torque request, and an even more precise reaction to driver commands ensure that the Purosangue feels noticeably livelier.
INDIVIDUAL TUNING INSTEAD OF A STANDARD FILE
For us, a Ferrari Purosangue is not a vehicle onto which just any pre-made software is simply written.
Before optimization, the technical condition of the vehicle is checked. The existing data and the initial power output are taken into account, and the software is tuned accordingly.
Depending on the vehicle and fuel, the actual final power output may vary slightly.
That's why we deliberately speak of a target range of approximately 750 to 760 hp for our Stage 1.
OPTIONAL WITH ADDITIONAL HARDWARE
Those who want to go a step further can combine the software optimization with additional components.
An optimized exhaust system or more flow-efficient components can bring additional benefits, especially with a naturally aspirated engine, and at the same time enhance the acoustic presence of the V12.
In combination with suitable hardware, individual tuning can then be carried out.
WEISS PERFORMANCE FOR THE FERRARI PUROSANGUE
Our Stage 1 is designed for drivers who want to get more out of their Purosangue without losing the vehicle's original character.
Approx. 750–760 hp
Optimized engine software
More direct throttle response
Optimized ignition and fuel strategy
Adjustment of torque models
Tuning for high-quality fuel
Individual adaptation to the vehicle
No exaggerated conversion.
No fantasy numbers.
But a clean further development of one of the most exceptional V12 engines of today.
